The Collective Perspective

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective October 21, 2026

The short version: cancel any time and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Monthly memberships aren't refunded for part of a month. Yearly memberships get a full refund if you ask within 14 days of the charge. We always give any refund the law requires. This policy is part of our Terms.

1. Cancelling your membership

  • Membership ($4.99 a month or $49 a year) renews automatically until you cancel.
  • To cancel, tap Manage membership on your profile. It opens Stripe's secure billing page, where you can also update your card and download receipts. Or email support@thecollectiveperspective.com and we'll cancel it for you.
  • Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for. You keep member features until then and won't be charged again.
  • After that, member features pause and your SENSE is frozen until you rejoin (see the Terms).
  • Yearly members get an email reminder about 15 days before renewal. We give at least 30 days' notice of any price change.

2. Membership refunds

Automatic full refunds

  • The face scan shows you already have an account (the new membership is cancelled and refunded).
  • You can't be verified after 3 scan attempts.
  • We learn the member is under 18.
  • You were charged by mistake, for example twice.

Other cases

  • Monthly: no refunds for part of a month once it has started.
  • Yearly: a full refund if you ask within 14 days of the charge (the first purchase or a renewal). After 14 days, no refund for the rest of the year, but you can cancel so it doesn't renew.
  • Terminated for breaking the rules: no refund.
  • Required by law: we always give any refund the law requires, whatever this policy says.
  • EU, UK and similar countries: membership is a digital service that starts as soon as you join. When you sign up you ask for it to start right away and acknowledge that this ends your 14-day right to withdraw where your local law allows; where your local law instead requires a proportionate refund, we give it. The 14-day full refund for yearly plans above applies to everyone.

3. SENSE purchases

  • SENSE credits have no cash value and can't be exchanged for money. Purchases are final once the SENSE is in your account, except as below or where the law requires.
  • If you were charged but didn't get your SENSE, or were charged twice, we'll fix it or refund it.
  • A purchase that would take you over the limits (20,000 purchased SENSE held, or $2,000 in 24 hours) is refunded automatically instead of credited.
  • Washington residents can ask for cash for remaining purchased SENSE worth less than $5.
  • Bonus SENSE (your 6,000 at signup, monthly credits, referral SENSE and SENSE you receive) is never refundable.
  • If a SENSE purchase is refunded or charged back, the matching SENSE is removed from your balance.

4. Creator subscriptions

  • Creator subscriptions are bought from the creator, and USD payments go to the creator's own Stripe account (0% platform fee; Stripe card fees apply).
  • No refunds unless the law requires one.
  • Cancelling: email support@thecollectiveperspective.com from your account's email with the creator's name and we'll cancel it so it doesn't renew. You keep access until the end of the month you've paid for. SENSE-priced subscriptions last 30 days and simply end if your balance is too low at renewal.
  • If a creator subscription is charged back, any SENSE involved is reversed.
  • Deleting your account cancels all your creator subscriptions.

5. Chargebacks

Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank; we can usually sort it out faster. If a payment is charged back, we remove the related SENSE and may limit the account while the dispute is open.

6. How to ask for a refund

Email support@thecollectiveperspective.com from your account's email with the date and amount of the charge and the reason. Refunds go back to the original payment method and usually show up in 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
